Prefilling Text Fields

Prefilling text fields in your Pactima documents can significantly streamline the eSignature or eNotary process, especially when certain information is standard and known in advance. This guide will walk you through the steps to pre-fill text boxes in your Pactima documents, ensuring that the text is already in place before the signing ceremony begins (or even during editing in a live ceremony)

1. Open Your Document: Start by opening the document within Pactima where you need to prefill a text field.

2. Select the Text Entry Tool: On the right side of the screen, locate and select the text entry tool. This tool allows you to place a text entry pad directly onto your document.

3. Place the Text Entry Pad: Click on the area of the document where you want to insert the text field. This will place a text entry pad in the specified location.

4. Access Prefill Options: After placing the text entry pad, click on it to bring up additional options. On the right side of the screen, a sidebar titled "Prefilled Text" should appear.

5. Enter Your Prefilled Text: In the "Prefilled Text" sidebar, type in the text you want to be displayed in the text box. This could be any standard information relevant to the document, such as a greeting like "Hello World".

6. Save the Prefilled Text: Once you have entered the desired text, you can either press the Enter key or click on the save icon (usually represented by a diskette or checkmark icon) to save the prefilled text.

7. Verify the Text: After saving, the text box within your document should now be prefilled with the text you entered. Make sure to review the text to ensure it appears as intended.

8. Finalize the Document: Proceed with any other modifications or additions to your document. Once you are satisfied with the layout and the prefilled text fields, save your document and prepare it for the signing ceremony.

By prefilling text fields, you not only save time during the document preparation phase but also reduce the likelihood of errors during the signing process.
