Managing package ownership (claiming or transferring to teammate)

Managing the ownership of a package in a folder is a crucial aspect of maintaining control and coordination within your team. This guide will help you understand how to claim ownership of a package or transfer it to a teammate. These functionalities are vital for ensuring that the right team members have access to and control over specific packages.

Claiming Ownership of a Package

1. Navigate to the Specific Folder: First, log in to your Pactima account and click on the 'eSignature' button located at the top of the header. Then, click on 'Folders' in the sidebar to view all your available folders.

2. Select the Desired Folder: Choose the folder that contains the package whose ownership you want to manage. Click on this folder to open it.

3. Locate the Package: Inside the folder, find the package you wish to claim. Look for the 'Action' column next to the package.

4. Claim Ownership: Click on the dropdown button (indicated by a downward arrow) next to the 'View Details' option for the package. Select 'Claim' from the dropdown menu. This action will transfer the ownership of the package to you, allowing you to edit and manage it.

Transferring Ownership to a Teammate

1. Follow the Same Initial Steps: As with claiming ownership, navigate to the specific folder and locate the package you want to transfer.

2. Initiate Transfer: Click on the dropdown button next to the 'View Details' option for the package. This time, choose 'Transfer to Teammate'.

3. Select Team Member and Transfer: A pop-up will appear where you can select a team member from the list. Choose the appropriate member and click 'Transfer'. This will transfer the ownership of the package to the selected team member.

Alternative Method from Package Detail Page

1. View Package Details: Click on 'View Details' for the package you are interested in, either to claim or transfer.

2. Claim or Transfer Ownership: In the package detail page, you will find options to either 'Claim' the package, thereby transferring ownership to yourself, or 'Transfer' to open a pop-up modal for transferring the package to a teammate.

3. Select and Confirm: Choose the appropriate action and follow the prompts to either claim the package or select a team member to transfer it to.
