This guide will walk you through the process of using the Force Sign feature on Pactima. Force Sign is particularly useful when you have signers on the line, but one has left without agreeing and finalizing, and you need to push the package to completion. Remember, all actions taken during Force Sign will be saved in the audit log.
- Access the Status Tab
-
- Locate the package you want to force sign.
- On the left side of the screen, click on the "Status" tab.
- Review Signing Status
-
- In the Status tab, you'll see who has signed and who hasn't yet signed.
- For example, you might see that you've already signed, but the other signer hasn't completed their signature.
- Initiate Force Sign
-
- Look for the "Force Sign" button next to the unsigned signer's name.
- Click on the "Force Sign" button.
- Confirm Force Sign
-
- A confirmation prompt will appear.
- This prompt will inform you that the package will be completed without the signer's consent.
- It will also remind you that all actions will be saved in the audit log.
- Complete the Process
-
- If you're sure you want to proceed, click "Confirm" on the prompt.
- The package will then be completed, bypassing the missing signature.
- Verify Completion
-
- After confirming, the package status should update to show it's been completed.
- You can double-check the audit log to see the record of the force sign action.
Important Notes:
- Only use Force Sign when absolutely necessary and when you have the authority to do so.
- The Force Sign feature is only available when the package is in the "Locked for Review" state.
- All Force Sign actions are recorded in the audit log for transparency and record-keeping.
By following these steps, you can successfully use the Force Sign feature on Pactima when needed. Always ensure you're using this feature responsibly and in accordance with your organization's policies.
